ChromeCast Review

Google Home (Chromecast) is a proprietary smart home assistant by Google LLC. The app is designed to let you control a wide range of smart home devices installed at your home and office remotely. The app is already compatible with thousands of devices that are available on Amazon and other popular marketplaces. It’s an excellent way to start automating your dwelling without too much effort.

All Around The House – 5/5

The main criterion for a remote control app is compatibility. Google Home wins the competition and offers one of the most extensive lists of compatible devices by brands from all over the world. As a result, you can easily automate your entire home and yard with smart lights, thermostats, speakers, cameras, and more. The app is also interconnected with some other proprietary and third-party services to let you play music and video directly from the app. It’s quite easy to add subscriptions to the app benefit from extra features.

Clear and Fast – 4/5

Google Home latest version has a clear UI that lets you find devices and control them very quickly and simple. On the other hand, the interface is a bit plain and monotonous. All the tabs are just white and don’t include only minor color indications for devices. It’s easy to adjust to that anyway, and you don’t have to learn how to use the app as it’s very intuitive. All the needed switches are placed on the home screen so that you could reach almost any controller in a single tap.

TIme-Saving – 5/5

With Google Home, you don’t need to carry several remotes or travel from room to room to control various devices. Just sit back on the sofa and tell the app what should be done. It also provides a clear picture of what’s going on around the house by indicating the states of each device and receiving data from them without interruptions. No need for vires and expensive CCTV systems anymore!

Universal – 5/5

Google Home is available for download on the App Store and Google Play for free. Unlike Apple Home, you can use it on both mobile operating systems without limitations. The app lets you interconnect your family’s gadgets with smart devices all over the territory via average WiFi routers.

We recommend!

Google Home is one of the best smart home assistants available for smartphones and tablets today. Despite several design and stability issues, the app is very convenient to use. Another large benefit is excellent compatibility with an extensive list of smart devices.
